Meet Rhonda — Survivor, Sweetheart, and Total Superstar!

Rhonda is a ~14-year-old fawn-colored Pit Bull with a spirit as radiant as her smile. Her journey hasn’t been easy, she came to us from a heartbreaking situation where she was left tethered in a backyard, neglected and forgotten. But since being rescued, Rhonda has fully embraced her second chance at life, and it shows in every joyful step she takes.

For Rhonda, every day is like winning the lottery. She greets new friends with excitement, wags her tail with gusto, and explores the world with the curiosity of a much younger dog. She’s full of personality, charm, and a love of life that’s truly inspiring.

What makes Rhonda extra special is the depth of her bond with people. Dogs who have survived hardship often form incredible connections with those who show them kindness, and Rhonda is no exception. She’s affectionate, loyal, and loves to be near her humans. She may be a senior, but her heart is as young and open as ever. She reminds us why we do this work.

Rhonda is behaviorally complex and needs an experienced owner who will give her clear, consistent training. Now, she needs someone who can take care of her heart, too. Not just with love, but with cardiac care and daily heart medication, as she is in congestive heart failure.
